Start the Turkey Trot & IFU3 Smack Talk

#1

Alright ladies (and Laura  ) CMP is just around the corner and it time to put your mouth where your money is (or isn’t). So let’s get the smack talk started.

Word on the street is Al’s got his mojo back and Travis is going to be sporting a motor Al gave away… so the only way Travis can finish up front, is for everyone show up late for the start of the race.

Bill Z. has been talking smack on Stalkerbook. I’m pretty sure I saw a post where he said he was “gonna smoke the field”. Not sure if he was talking about us or if he’s taken up farming. Having seen him on track… I’m incline to go with the latter

Ranger… well, his only hope is to take the Cobbeto-Cut-Thru. And with a the lights and buzzers and pumps and monitors and gauges… there’s a good chance he’ll be too busy looking at all that to keep his eyes on the track, he’ll take the short cut and and wont even know it.

allenr (formally know as Rallen) won’t be showing up for this years event. I think the chickens might have been too much for him. That, and he’s too young and full of hope to settle for mediocrity. So we so won’t have to worry about him.

Rumor has it the Hall’s may be making a guest appearance so there’s 2 cars that will be battling Gasman for the poll in the IFU.

I’m not gonna pick on Damion, cuz he’s received enough abuse from CMP and I think he’s in need of encouragement (you can do it Damion… I believe in you). Indy Jim gets a free pass too, due to his mad skillz behind the keyboard. I’d hate to have to face payback on DTOM®.

I’m also not going to call out Chuck, Robert or Jim L… my mother raised me to respect my elders and they are all old.

Geegar… He probably doesn’t remember how to drive. But that’s alright because he’s only going to show up because he’s tired of all the poopy diapers.

We all need to keep an eye out for Jones and his fits of roid rage. But what’s new?

Lako/Walsh… I don’t think they are gonna show up. Which is good. Cuz I can’t tell who’s who. I hate it when car’s look a like. That’s such a lame trick.

Childress is too dang nice, I got nothin…

I’ve never seen A-Rez, Stevie D or 87Man-ish at CMP so I’m not gonna pick on them. Although Steve’s the '09 NASA National Championship Runner-Up to the Runner-Up so he’s bound to be a threat (as long as Mike Skeen of MikeSkeen.com doesn’t show up).

If I failed to offend anyone, please forgive me, we had the beercart at work today and I get a little forgetful when I’m drunk.

in all seriousness… I’m looking forward to racing with you guys. And I hope you all show up and win

A motor Al gave away? 3 cylinders are good on gas mileage.

Little bobby showed us plenty of mediocrity last time he was in town. I think we’re good for awhile. Besides I don’t think we have a tent yet.

Saw Dmo at Ofest, trust me his ego is intact.

Typing stuff makes Robert’s arthritis act up so he gets a pass.

I think Craig was already asking Pantas about a Day Care option on the registration page. If everyone breaks down during qualifying and the race goes FCY during the warm up lap Geegar will be a threat to win.

Typically I’m afraid to make eye contact with Jones, but his GF won’t let him use the internet so I can talk smack safely. I think she may even have gotten him off the juice, you know to see if ‘it’ will grow back…

Childress is too dang nice, I got nothin…[/quote]

Poor Kelly his car is still green and ugly, and this from a guy with an ugly car.

If Stevie D has to work on his car he’ll be a non-factor, unless his OPM driver’s lounge shows up. He needs his wine and cheese & warm towel to help him focus.

McMenneemmmeennneey I hope the t-shirt is good.

LOL - this is some funny sh!t…

Although I have to ask, is Jim, aka RacerX, driving his own car or bringing in one of the BW guys?

Same question for Geegar?

I don’t care about the race as much as the Rookie drink off…I’ve been practicing all last week!

Jim and Scott you never fail to amuse.

No 3 peat for me as I will be at SEMA in Vegas that weekend but I do love when a CMP race comes up because I get to pull this photo out:

Jim you are one Hairy little dude!

I’m in!!! I was going to race the enduro with Ranger then head to Charleston to go shrimping but this thread changed my mind, just signed up!!!

All my cheater parts are on the lemons car so I have some work to do B)

Scott don’t worry you won’t see much of my car but I will let you know how things went at the front of the pack.

Alex keep practicing you picked a fight you can’t win with a drinking contest. After 10 drinks I won’t be taking part in any foot races though:laugh:

This should be fun!!!

Alex’s smack talk re. the drinking contest is part of his campaign to win rookie of the year. The criteria are:

  1. Bring hot chicks to events that have flexible views re. relationships.

  2. Bring lots of alcohol.

  3. Race SpecE30 for at least one lap. This can be waved if #1 is performed unusually well.

Should I bring Darcy then?

It saddens me that you should even feel it necessary to ask. Official SpecE30-SE Doxies Clarissa and Darcy. Nice.

Speaking of whine and cheez, I present IndyJim, ladies and gentlemen…

I’m keepin’ it real at IFU. Open trailer, no crew, sleeping in a tent. Just like June when I hit the podium on Sunday - after getting clobbered out of the race by a 944 on Saturday. I found out the hot setup us 1/4" toe out on the left rear. It really helps rotate the car through 14.

As I understand it, IndyJim will have megabytes of data pouring from his Stack to show him how slow he is. Ranger’s bells and whistles are connected to an NYSE stock ticker tape machine he picked up and repurposed on the cheap. He likes having a permanent record.

Is Jones even showing up? Name one guy other than Kevin Buckler who really knows wine AND is fast behind the wheel. OK, Scott Pruett. But isn’t he the guy who is wound a little tight and every highlight reel shows him banging doors with someone? I’ve made my point.

Hopefully McMennanannananannaannmmmyymmyy has invested in some rain tires so that excuse is off the table. You can try to change graphics to distance yourself from the other BeerWreck driver, but we know.

Geiger? With all the vermin who have been driven to higher ground in the Atlanta floods, what do you think the chance is that his wiring harness still functions? If we can keep him up past his new 7:30 bedtime, he’ll be off his game all weekend.

Damion. SEMA. Vegas. That is mediocre!

I’m looking forward to running down near sea level. My car was pretty strong at altitude at Miller, so hopefully I can keep up with Robinson’s “M20” in his “Spec E30”.

I’m sorry I’m not as good at the whitty banter, but I did want everyone to know that they should be afraid, very afraid. I will have just gotten off a boat where I will be locked up with my in laws for 4 days. I’ll be ready to take out some agression on someone and unfortunently you guys are just the group that comes up first on my calendar.

You guys are all going down (or at least I’m hoping I can pull that off)!:stuck_out_tongue:

This race sounds like too much fun and I can’t wait to see everyone.

#11

Steve - we’re going to make you apologize before anyone helps change your tires.

BTW I’m giddy with anticipation to see the “duel of the splitters”

Steve D’s aero by feel approach vs. Ranger’s science fair project

I’d bring about 6 a piece just to make sure you have enough for the weekend.

I don’t think anyone questions Jones wine knowledge it is the ‘fast behind the wheel’ bit that is the stumbling block…

That’s rich. And I quote from DTOM:
This meant basic fluid changes and putting on new brake pads. Stuff I’ve done 1000 times. As usual I put the car up on the four jacks stands. It immediately occurs to me that I forgot to loosen the front lug nuts - I do this EVERY TIME. blah blah blah blah. I started all this stuff at 6pm I was finished by 9.

Speaking of French drivers, I will be sans splitter. I don’t find CMP to be pushy.

Just to familiarize you with what will happen with IndyJim and Frere Jones at CMP, go to 1:35 in this clip.

Steve don’t believe everything you read. Would it be funny or interesting if I said:

“As usual my awesome garage mechanic skills prevailed and I took care of the wheels, brake pads, and fluids with the speed of a NASCAR pit crew”

And I assume for the clip you meant to add “as Jim laps Jones”.

#17

I’ve got a special t-shirt for the 2 of you (Jim & Steve)

I’m guess your sizes to be Xtra-Mediocre

#18

I will get a podium at CMP. Steve D will not. Scott may get a top 10. Maybe. If the rest of us break down.
