Ryan’s kid Aaron will be going to Comp School at RA, and then hopefully racing with us that weekend. I’ve asked him him to take care to finish behind me. Losing to rookies is demoralizing.

Might be time to resurrect the famous “I was 6th - place trophy” that we used to present, back before Geiger went off to make more babies and fewer races. With all the strong runners in SE these days, finishing 6th is nothing to sneeze at.

I have one of his creations, which stands a place of honor in my office at home.
