spec exhaust passes sound at Laguna Seca?

Does anybody know if the spec exhaust will pass sound at Seca? I think the quietest limit they’ll use is 92db on some days.

Ask some of the guys in the mid atlantic region… I bet they would have read on the dB output.

Adam, it should pass without any problems. Our car at T-Hill last weekend was at 89-90db all day long.

I think it should…In January all of the cars passed, we didn’t have the spec exhaust, but we did have some cars with exhaust systems. When are you going. I wanna come and watch…:stuck_out_tongue:

This is related to bmwcca recognizing other classes stuff that came out earlier. I’m feeling out what it’d take to try to put together a spec e30 crossover “just for fun” race at Seca when the bmwcca races there.

They don’t have a date for 2009 yet, but they usually run with SCCA Vintage in the spring at Seca. On the negative side, they only get 2 sessions per day (1 qual, 1 race) and they’re sub optimal b/c they’re the foreign club. There’s also the stickers issue to sort out… but none of these are insurmountable.
