Sparco Pro2000 or Evo2 Plus

#1

I am trying to decide between two seats. The Sparco Evo 2 Plus or the Pro2000. I fit nicely in the Evo 2 Plus (I am 35 waist, 180 lbs, 5’8") but I haven’t tried a Pro2000. I like the fact that the Evo 2 Plus has the higher shoulder belt holes and the HANS compatability.

Is the less "free" nature of the Pro2000 a problem in an E30 (e.g., shifting gears, getting in/out)?

Has anyone had problems using the HANS with the Pro2000?

Are the shoulder belt holes adequately placed on the Pro2000 for a driver of my height?

Any other thoughts or comments?

Thanks.

I’m 5’11, 200 #, 36" waste. An Evo 2 fits me nicely, but I’ve been told by retailers that a Pro2000 is considerably tighter and wouldn’t be appropriate for someone of my shape. Seats seem to fit people quite differently, so test-sitting would be wise.

I’d consider getting a seat with integral head restraints to limit sideways head motion. If I were starting over, I would.

I have a Pro2000 that used to be driver, now psngr seat. I am 6’ 185# and the shoulder harness holes are too low for me per the Hans install guidelines. You should test fit to be sure, and if you have reference seat you can go to sparco’s web site and they have detailed measurements for all their seats, and how to measure yourself.

By the way, I agree with Sasha and upgraded to a Racetech integrated Hans seat and it fits just a hair snugger than a Pro2000.
