spacer for stock steering wheel?

this is probably a pretty silly question, but my '87 has no airbags and has a Mtech1 wheel. The wheel is fine w/ me, but i’d like it a good inch closer to me.

Is there any way to space out a stock wheel? Everything i’ve found is for the 6 bolt Sparco wheels.
