Source for oil pump

#1

hey guys and girls

getting ready to fix a leaky oil pan gasket…fell like it is a good idea to do the pump while there, did the one in the white car and seemed like it made a difference…

What is a good, cheap source for a good quality pump? is cheap and good quality impossible to find?

Thanks

Al Taylor

Cheap would be a used pump, good (and expensive) would be a new OE pump. I’m sorry, but I don’t know of anything in between. You can shim the oil pressure relief spring for a bit more pressure and flow.

I have a used oil pump that I’ll give you. It’s ok as far as I know.

You can also eliminate the oil pan gasket. Just use black rtv silicone and let it dry overnight.

I got my new OEM parts from RMEuropean.com. They had the best prices I could find and usually cut you deals on shipping for more expensive orders.

I am doing my pan as well and got a OE pump since the current unit is unknown and possibly way into the six digits for mileage. I got mine from bimmerparts.com and it was cheaper than any other source as they support NASA MA and NE SE30 races. It was around $140 I think.
