in for comp school in Summer’s car
So...who is in for Road Atlanta?
So, now my list is longer. It seems that all those spare parts Pantas was offering up were off of my car. ; )
That’ll teach me to leave it in his shop too long. I’ve worn out my welcome I guess! (Jim, it’ll be outta there when you get back) = )
Lots left to do, and with Sebring and The GP of Down Under cranking up this week, I’m like a one-armed paper hanger at work and couldn’t score any weekdays off to finish the car. Probably more to do than I can get done in one week, to be honest.
I know, excuses, excuses…
At least I learned what the heck “Bronzit” was this past week, if nothing else!
Good luck all, see you next time.

Dang! You found out my secret!
Actually the Panther won’t be ready either, when I realized that I’d be bringing two cars w/major overhauls to the track and trying to run the event I realized how insane that was and decided to wait until after Road A to replace the Panther motor.
We did finish the graphics on the 5V5 car, it is looking sweet…

Oh and BTW, regarding Roebling… could you guys have picked a paddock spot FARTHER away from the bathrooms? :woohoo: That’s my girlie side talking!

Nat, you were parked not 10’ from a portapotti.
Ken Brewer, great to see you joining us!
I can rember the day when it was a field of 1 Spec E30 car.
We’ll make sure to get you welcomed into the group of racers that we have.
Regards, Robert Patton
can’t wait, got all my paperwork in, etc
might be a while before I have my own car, but right now SpecE30 is the place to race IMO. Might end up with 2 cars (SE30 & PTx MR2…) but thats a ways off
It looks like we may get some rain on Saturday.
Anyone driven RA in a heavy rain after the resurface?
I would expect streams on the front straight and at the bottom of the esses. Any other place to watch out for?
RA is the only track that I have crashed and that was in a heavy rain. Stay off of the painted surface on the exit of T5.
It looks like my car will be down to the wire getting it put back together. I can’t find a RF head light assembly for an 89. Does anyone attending the race have one I can put in the car Saturday morning?

Someone must have one, but if you can’t find one, it’s no reason not to race.
I’ve got some lights, but no buckets. I have some retaining rings as well if you need them.
Steve,“No reason not to race” +1.
If you want to be technical, note it in the log book and correct the problem before the next race would be my assessment…but I’ve no clout in this area. Pantas and Taylor are great to work with.
I do not have any of the plastic '89 buckets. Should it come down to finding metal buckets I can look.
Regards, Robert Patton
Agree with Robert, it’s not a reason to not come if you don’t locate one. Did you try calling Strictly German (706-654-9103)to see if he has a bucket? It’s 5 minutes from the track on Hwy53.
I may end up needing one as well (but an early model). I have run out of time and tomorrow will be the decider… Pathetic, I know… Life got in the way again.
No reason to race, +2. Just make SURE that headlight backing cover is in place. :silly:
I might be running the top secret, always copied, 6th Place Motorsports Custom Wrong Side Ram Intake (aka no headlights on the right front) if things don’t work out. The BFH may have been a bit too B during repairs.
Whichever of you chumps that finish 7th and appeal my 6th place finish on Saturday will have their right front headlight smashed and a 6th place trophy handed to them. Love, the 6th Place Appeals Court Judge.
You need headlights to race in the rain. I will protest anyone who doesn’t have two working headlights.
I had better go check mine.
Bill, it is not going to rain.Headlights in the rain rule? does one exist? I seem to recall running thru a blinding downpour at Rockingham with just the driving lights on. Maybe Pantas wasn’t looling?

I’m a lawyer. I make up rules in order to advance my position in life and on the race track.
Bill, just as I suspected. So Geiger and Fouchee can bring it on without fear of no lights.
