Shifted gears today...

#1

As many of you know my car was an automatic that had only reverse in
it when I got it. I found it on Market St. in Wilmington, NC exactly 1 mile
from my house. I paid $400 for it and backed it home in the turn lane
on Market St. at 5:00pm in the afternoon back in late June.

Since that time I got the auto tranny removed, the interior stripped, the
dash removed, and the cage installed. I completed the 5sp installation
this past weekend. Tonight I got the driveshaft and exhaust
bolted up and drove the car forward and shifted gears in it for the first
time. It run and shifts great.

Now it’s time to bolt all the rest of my parts on, get it painted and
get ready for comp school. I’m getting closer!

Go Steven! Way to make quick work of it.

What color are you going to paint it?
… Matching the coupe would be very hot. B)

I’m going to go back with Cinnabar Red. I’m thinking about painting
the black at bottom of the car yellow when I have it sprayed but not
sure about that.
