Shift light install

Any tips on wiring in a shift light? Can I use a 3M crimp tap on the Tach lead? (If so, which wire on the Instrument Panel wiring harness is the Tach lead?)

Dan - have you gotten this figured out yet? If not let me know. I wired mine into the tach lead using a crimp connector, just as you described. I can look up the wire color code if you still need it.

You should be able to tap into the lead which runs to the tach. It’s the black wire attached to the blue 26-pin connector on the right side (facing the front of the car) of the rear of the instrument cluster.
