Set screw on offset CAB required for 75D?

Hi,

I know most of you use the Delrin bushings, but does anyone know whether the AKG 75D offset CABs will rotate in the housing enough that I should drill into the housing & bushing while I have them out?

Thanks

Well why wouldn’t you? Takes 5 minutes if you do it before you put them on the car, and then you never have to worry about them turning.

Drill the hole on the thick side of the bushing (away from the LCA tip) obviously.

Offset cabs want to rotate because the offset hole puts torque on the bushing. The hardness of the material doesn’t change it’s desire to rotate.

I’d put the screw in. One less thing for Murphy to find.

Thanks, I guess I’ll do it anyway. (Though I speculated that 75D could have been less prone to rotation because it cushions the impact more than Delrin, or because it somehow grips the bracket better than Delrin).

And I notice now I’m in the wrong forum. I didn’t mean to put this in Rules. Sorry!
