Seat and possibly F/S

#1

Purchased a Cobra Imola Pro seat. Sat in it once and of course, its too damn small for my ass to fit in. Never had a problem with regular sized seats before, and I haven’t gained any weight.

Anyway, I have the sliders and brackets to go with it.

Has anyone had any issues with these Cobra seats in the past? I went over to the cage builder today and sat in a Suzuka seat, and it was just fine. Also a Racetech seat fit me like a glove.

What gives? Expensive mistake to be made. Now the retailer wants a $170 restocking fee to get me the fatboy one.

The strange part is that the seat measurements on the website seem just fine, and are supposedly the same as the other seats I sat in today, yet the one I bought is somehow smaller?

Anyone else want the seat? Skinny dudes? I’m 5’10", 180.

Never had a cobra but either the scale or the retailer/manufacturer is lying to you.

6’ 190# and I have 2 Cobra Imola S seats in my car. Fit me perfect. Is the “GT” the wide version, or am I thinking of another manufacturer?

#4

There is a wide version. The guy at the retail place can order me the larger one if need be. I just don’t want to get another one that doesn’t fit. Expensive.

I think I said the Suzuka seat I sat in was just fine. I don’t think there is a slim version of that seat (Imola)?

Retailer made a comment about the fact that as of a couple of years ago they started making the seats smaller?

I have a Cobra Suzuka Pro seating in the office that a customer didn’t like. He was too wide in the hips, but it fits me great and I am 6’ 210. Cobra seats fit tight. I would sell if you are interested. joel@barberraceworks.com

One more thing, there is no way you need a fat boy seat. Something is strange.

Is this a halo seat? How much are you looking for and where are you located?

#9

Halo seat as in it has side impact protection? No, it does not.

I think the total for the seat, sliders and brackets was like $850 with shipping when I purchased.

I’m in Saline, MI.

Ok. Sorry, I’m about to buy a halo seat (aka “HR” or Head Restraint) seat, so I thought I’d ask.

GLWS.

My cage builder has a used racetech halo seat (FIA) for sale. I think it was $550-600.

So does this mean your closer to getting this thing out on track?

I’m shooting for an April/May completion date. This seat thing though is costing me money I’m supposed to be saving.

Of course, cage builder sold the seat yesterday.
