OK guys…I have a car with the same running problem that Herrington had…very rough on start up, will not take gas, running rich even after warmup. Tried AFM and brain, thinking it could be temp sensor…getting ready to start replacing everything which is not too bad as I have at least two of all the parts, but any leads, anyone know what the good Dr.'s problem turned out to be, I think I remember hearing it was the ECU…

My first guess would be temp sensor (as was suggested - did you test this). I would also look at crank sensor, TPS and fuel pressure before replacing everything

Al - I believe the problem David had at Mid-Ohio was a fuel pump. I believe, as you noted, it was ECU prior to that, and he also replaced the coolant temp sensor.

Al - I’m still not sure what the problem is(was). I have replaced ECU, fuel pump and temp sensor, but still had some intermittent starting problems at Roebling Rd. before Christmas. I was however, able to get it going for every session. We will see what happens at VIR.
