RRR Smack Talk!!

#1

Let the games begin…

#2

Just try not to pass out next time…

#3

Skeen - I think the Peachtree BMW club is using some of your race video without permission. I like how you work through all the traffic…

Do you start to get sleepy around the 8th or 9th lap?

#4

Too bad I’ll miss this one. I love that track!

But I’ll be at the Frankfurt Auto Show and The Ring that weekend. Darn

#5

I’ll bring the ants so it feels more like home (or your bed, Scott).

I’m going to adjust the valves, check the spark plugs, maybe replace them if one’s broken, and maybe, just maybe, change the oil. It’s on. Big time. I’m not losing to JP’s beater ever again. Jim, are you going to race this time or just go for parade laps again?

Who’s in?

#6

I didn’t have my mojo on, no doubt about that, kissing the tire wall in practice made me a little too careful maybe. After seeing Chuck’s ride I got off way easy. (at least that is my excuse)

Don’t worry though all you chicken f-rs are going to get some in Sept. Hoping that nationals draws a big field and that Skeen is so tired he gives someone else a chance at the top prize, not that we don’t enjoy his company.

#7

Don’t tell me you guys are striving to exceed the Road Atlanta 13 page trash talk thread with this one for Roebling?

It’s not looking very optimistic for me to attend in September, the slush fund is a bit low right now. I’m definitely in for Barber though.

#8

I think 20 pages is the over / under for this one.

I thought Al talked Wendy into letting you come to Roebling??

I thought Wendy wasn’t allowed to talk to Al, or vise versa.

I can’t wait to show you guys the way around RRR. Hell, I’ll even leave a smoke trail from my diesel SE30 for you guys to follow!

Craig - changing oil is for sissies. You should just rag on the motor until it can eat 2 quarts a weekend. Perpetual oil changes are where its at. B)

PS - is Cullen bringing his Turbo car?

I dont normally have too much smack to say. Lucky for me that I said nothing about Road Atlanta. My performance is summed up by saying, "I stunk."

There, now I feel better.

But RRR…yea, that’s it, Robert’s Roebling Road. Love that place. I’ve got all five forward gears, so bring it on.

If you have to choose one or the other, chose Roebling over the Barber track.

Regards, Robert Patton

Due to work I was forced to sit Road Atlanta out on the sidelines - not fun!

I’m planning on RRR next month, but I’m not going to talk any smack as it will be my first time there. Hopefully I can tuck in behind someone quick and learn my way around there before the race. In the mean time, I’ll watch some more of Skeen’s video from RRR earlier this year and try to at least figure out shift point and braking points…

I am going to be there, with a car fresh from nationals. the question is: is Harrington going to be there…he swept it last time. Of course Skeen had some problems there, I think I picked up his bad luck at CMP for giving him some crap about it. I think I owe Laura, Geiger, and C. Taylor all a pass at RRR. I am drinking nothing stronger than V-8 and will be looking to set fast lap.

Steve RRR is an easy track to learn it is all 5th gear. Just breathe off the throttle into turn one a bit to rotate the backend.

(Travis taught me my lesson on showing people around the track…)

It’s not really that she wasn’t allowed to… she was just smart enough to know better. It seemed like Lea stayed away from tent city as well.

Speaking of ladies… so Jim are you loosing the skirt for Roebling?

#15

Haha, I wasn’t up to snuff this weekend so I’ll take my beating.

However at RRR I plan to stay on the track (and not oil it down).

I know how you like the far outside line through 1 (/2) so sneaking aorund the inside shouldn’t be too hard — even if it takes me a second or two to get there.

We missed you. Regarding study time with Mike’s RRR video, that should do it.

Yes, Lea is pretty smart as well.

Oh yeah, you guys made an enemy for life when you put that sticker on her car, too.

Bill, She got angry about a beertech sticker? Is this the same car that had 17 miles of masking tape on it?

I think it was the principle of someone touching her car without her permission. I can relate to that…if someone put a sticker on my M3, I would likely shoot them, too.

Beside the point, she’s a woman. She doesn’t need logic to justify her emotional responses.
