In lieu of the $150 Damion says I owe him, I’ll again offer my apologies for ‘f-ing’ up the plan for Sunday’s race. I’m glad they found a way to get everyone out there. Not an auspicious beginning.
For the record - and to anyone that didn’t already hear this. Apparently when I got on the gas to come out on track

Numbers 14,15, 16, and 17 decided they weren’t ready to race and wanted to stay in the pits. As those pieces are all that keep 5qts of oil in the engine that was it. Car was fine until a little past the entry to turn 1. I didn’t notice any oil and there wasn’t any smoke or other indications until the oil pressure light on the dash went off. I flicked that twice in disbelief and hoping that it was a problem with the light. No dice. I shut it down and got of the track and coasted over to the corner station.
Optimistic that the motor is okay and that with a quick $5 part I’ll be back in the game.
They told me they noticed when I left the pits, but before they could radio to black flag me I was already off the track. Thank god that didn’t happen at Barber or my race budget would be done for the year.
Thanks to everyone for the sympathy, ball busting, and to Patton for looking around for a spare part.

Small edit Patton also pointed out that I don’t know how to work Real OEM either. I "think" this is the right link -

Maybe part number 7?
