Rookie tips for CMP

#1

#1 do not leave your video camera in your car overnight…you may end up with “shiny balls” right in the middle of your race video.

Al

#2

#2 Bring good bottled beer or a liter of jaeger with sugar free red bull

#3

#3 If you park next to Travis, be sure to bring a good tire pressure gauge, he left his at home.

#4

Addendum to #2, bring some crappy canned beer so you can spike some empties, definitely helps with the group acceptance.

#5

#4 Don’t go near Al’s tow vehicle unless your tetanus booster is current.

#5 Don’t be surprised to see Jones eating cat food.

#6 Yes, that is a pig’s head on a stick. Burning. On purpose.

#7 The Executive Inn is the world’s greatest misnomer.

#8 Don’t bring anything you don’t want full of sand by the end of the weekend.

#9 You may get accused of cheating by Gasman even if he’s not at the race.

#10 Yes, the drivers meeting will be cold. Yes, it could be done quicker. Yes, he thinks he’s funny.

#11 Make sure you come back to CMP when Al returns from the west so you can see him mule-mouth some of the crappy canned beer requested in #2, Addendum 1.

Jim’s meetings are better than most…and there might be important info…like DO NOT WARM TIRES ON A GREEN TRACK, or DO NOT BE A JACKASS IN TURN 1.

Hear that rookies?? DO NOT SWERVE, WARM TIRES, BRAKE IN UNUSUAL PLACES ON A GREEN TRACK
