Roebling video and story thread

Geez I had fun. Roebling isn’t that entertaining to do hot laps on, but it’s a blast to race there against your buddies. You can really let it all hang out at RR. I spent more time this weekend with my tail hanging out, and more time fighting 2-wide in corners then I recall having done in a long time. Maybe ever.

I just watched my videos. They were a total blast. It was kinda a bummer that I was bleeding places on after another, I was really sucking battling a mystifying lack of traction with tires on only their second weekend, but I fought everyone hard and it was huge fun. Turn after turn 2-wide fighting my ass off…god it was fun.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for making this a great weekend for me! I had a blast battling with Hunter in Rob’s car, only to get passed on the first corner of the last lap when I went wide.

Great side by side racing all weekend. Nothing like battling Whitinger, Mckay, Espinosa and Harkins all weekend with no more than a tire rub. Well done everyone. I look forward to watching videos.
Thanks to Sandro and the Whitingers for all the food and hospitality and thanks to Robert Patton setting me up with his ride to take my Dad out for a spirited SpecE30 session. Dad let me know that I lacked talent and should drive more like Sandro.
Between the food and Dequila we should all be closer.

Yep, it was a great time this weekend. Love this track. What were the Sunday DQs for? Passing between carousel and T9 with that car stuck in the tires or something?

Also, thanks to Walsh and Scott for some excellent bodywork sorting out my crunched rear valance (from VIR a few weeks ago) so I could fit a new tail light assembly. Can’t hide talent with a BFH!

WOW! Awesome rear camera view. Love seeing the close, clean racing action from that view. This is exactly what makes SpecE30 so much fun. Uploading my video from Saturday now.

Just in case any of you wanted to know what the back of the pack looks like :stuck_out_tongue:

I also have a pic of Sandro’s little waving friend, but the general public might not be ready for that.

Amazing racing with Lako, R.Whitinger and Clark on Saturday. Seemed like the 4 of us were in sync for half the race. Close, clean (for SpecE30). Here is Saturday’s video. Bummed I had to miss Sunday, but responsibility was calling me home. Thanks to the Whitinger’s and Sandro for keeping our bellies full all weekend even if the next morning was painful… AGHHHHHHHH !!!

What an absolute BLAST! I’m still giggling over stories playing in my head :woohoo:

The video of my wavy friend is hilarious, I’ll figure out a way to post it.

Great Racing as always, super close, no contact, an absolute joy and pleasure to race every one of you.

Anybody got pics of the Tequila experiments from Saturday night? :stuck_out_tongue:

Took a while but here’s the Saturday race vid. Very interesting action on Turn2 lap one and at the end of lap 2. Getting tapped in T9 at Roebling is EXCITING!!

We have some decent pics from the event? The SpeedNews article cries out for pics. All I have is a pic of Sandro’s “little friend.”

This one is for newby Hunter Gahl https://vimeo.com/141788004

One can’t help but be concerned when they are astride a track and other cars are barreling towards them. All the worse when it’s a rental.
