I can just hear that conversation now…
Hello.
Oh, hi Natalie.
If you really want to go fast at Roebling… Call Skeen at 336-555-FAST
Natalie, I’m in a pond near turn 3. Car #6. There’s also a guy named Yee here in an E30. Yee is pretty fast and Roebling is the only place I don’t suck. Come on over and introduce yourselves in the morning.
Scottmc, give an old has-been a few more minutes of fame and fortune. While Skeen has the fastest lap there in a qualifing session (and those don’t count 'cause I’ve got a few of them too) I’ve got him covered by maybe .003 or something like that…at least until next May’s event.
So cut me a break.
Have fun, Robert Patton
If Scott is talking about me, it’s “Chi” not “Yee”. This weekend Mr. Junky is wearing #15 (gray 87is). Come on by and say “hi”.

Chi, I don’t know who that Ranger idiot is, but I’m sure it’s not Scott.
Excuse me now while I slink away, having made a fool of myself. Not uncharted territory that.
Yee, or “Chi” as he inexplicably prefers his name spelled, is hellacious on Roebling’s turn 1. He turns in at 90mph. I’ve studied Roebling data from several of our best SpecE30 drivers. And there was not a single example of someone doing turn 1 as fast as Chi.

Yes, we found you… got in around 5:45 to register and left the trailer and car directly across the road from you… on the “high ground” between two largish ponds… it looked like e30 central over there :cheer:
ooooh … HPDE SMACK Talk …
I always slow down because I am shooting for that double secret rare HPDE 6th trophy.

Why did he slow down so much, was he scared?[/quote]
Ya ya, you show me the data that has you turning in at 90mph at Roebling. Not speedo at 90mph, but GPS data.
Fun track… of course it took until the third session until I figured out where the gas pedal was :cheer:
But that wasn’t the biggest challenge for the day… this being the first event after removing the power steering, I made the foolish move of actually stopping to talk the nice grid worker that wanted to see my armband. I had to make a 35-point turn to make the 90 degree left then 90 degree right turn to get into the hot pits from the grid. Doh!! Every session after that I hung my arm out the window and divebombed the hot pits… there wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell I was stopping and doing that again.
