ROCK Report...

Just watched skeens vid.
How hard is that banking on tires?

Travis was winning!!!

We are lucky no one got hurt during the fart lighting friday night…

But seriously we are gonna take it down a notch or two, it is fun till someone or something gets hurt, then the fun ends for everyone. We are probably gonna hotel it at ATL as it may be cold and craigslist escorts generally will not make calls to a race track.

Saturday practise Travis and I ran junk tires and did some serious drifting, slow but fun. for qually I ran my 888’s and ended up with a 1.11.1 along with Laura, JP, and Jones. In the race I was able to stick to Laura’s bumper and get a draft, leaving Jones in the dust. The only joy in my 8th place was that I beat both Beertech cars. the fun rce was just that…it was a blast, but just a little short. I started 9th and dropped way down on the apron, JP went even lower and we passed everyone but Joe TV…Joe obliged and spun in 3 and JP and I checked out for a couple of laps. I think I ended up in 4th, There was a lot of 3 and 4 wide racing that was amazingly clean.

Sunday ran my junk tires in morning warm up and they felt pretty good, qually was screwed because of yellow flag, for the race I put on the 888’s which went away after 2 laps, could not hold on and eventually hit a curb ending my race and bending a RS wheel…Travis won with a slight hangover.

GREAT FUN!

Thanks to Laura,Pantas,Vic,JP,Jim R, for the memorable racing. Sunday’s Roll the Rock had Laura in front: then me, then Pantas, then Pantas, then me then the checkered flag with .8 seconds separating the three of us. Laura ran a no-mistakes race and it is always fun to dice with the guy that can banish you from racing at his very whim. Dancing with the devil?

Thanks to everyone that could make it over to the Rock.

Vic, where is that race report (sandbagger for 6th place).

Regards, Robert Patton

+1 to platinum plus remember Greystone Blvd.

grew up in Columbia, what area are you moving to? Northeast, Downtown, Forest Acres, Irmo(avoid harbison Blvd.)… Forest Acres is a nice area very close to town.

40 min to CMP you lucky dog!!!

the trick to Columbia is to live downtown or as close to it as you can. This will help you avoid all the traffic. Look into the Shandon/Rosewood area. Leaving town at the end of a work day to head to the suburbs is brutal, especially if you are heading NW towards Irmo( think ATL with worse infrastructure), and the Northeast gets 5 new traffic lights everyday. except for the major roads heading out of town, Downtown stays nice and traffic free.

I can get you the names of some good realtors in the NE or shandon/rosewood areas

Huger St. is pronounced U-G

Sorry to threadjack you can email me if you have more ?'s

hooray(sp?) for a buyers market!

Jones will be looking for the section of town that is ‘alternative lifestyle’ friendly…so he can rollerblade.

You know for some reason I can really picture Jones rollerblading with his shirt off, some nut cutter shorts on and some tri-colored tube socks. Oh yeah, and one of those rainbow visors with the transparent bill:laugh:

I thought I was the only one who knew Brian in college…

By the way, a big thanks to everyone for helping to diagnose my engine problems and pushing the car up on the trailer. I really appreciate it.

And Jim, you are a funny, funny man.

Usually people put ‘looking’ into that statement.

I hope that doesn’t jam you up too bad, of course we were merely speculating it was you.

Most of the paddock guys doubted it though for various reasons I’ll let them elaborate on…

HAHA!!!

That’s actually what got track management so mad at us at the Rock. I thought that activity would be fine late at night on their track. They were just jealous.

BTW, its really hard to roller blade on that banking.

Here is a picture of JP’s dog, so I think we know the type of relationship he and Jones had in college…
