The schedule has Lightning and Thunder Sunday toy races as separate events. Interesting.

Parking for this event is always a zoo because the Enduro guys take our parking area. I’ll get to RA around 7PM Fri and I’ll do my best to create a zone where lots of SpecE30s can park, but I fear I’ll be too late to do much good. If anyone is arriving early Friday, or better yet, is arriving Thur night for the enduro, speak up and lets figure out how we can protect our parking area.

Party starts Friday at 7PM. It’s always a bummer to show up at the paddock Fri night with a cooler of beer and a trailer full of umbrella girls and find that everyone has already gone home to their hotel rooms.

I’ll be bringing my grill. As long as I’m not in a maintenance crisis I’ll grill up some brats Sat for lunch and find some other things to go along with it. Any help others can provide such to improve upon this lunch together scheme Sat/Sun like MidAtl and NE have been doing, would be cool.

I see some new names on the entry list. Are any of those folks active here at Spec E30 .com ?

If so, please introduce your self.

[/quote]Scott, not sure if you were there, but they were separate last year too IIRC. The year before, there were well past 100 cars on track at once. As fun as it sounds, it was really ugly out there. Amazing not a Talledega-style “big one”.

Yesterday I finally got my car back from the guy that was straightening it out. That effort went pretty well. Spare fender is on. Beat up passenger door opens/closes freely. Hood straightened enough to open/close. The guy even straightened out my strut bar.

I pulled the RF suspension apart to swap the right strut housing but then found, to my aggravation, that rather then having a set of spare strut housings, I had 2x left housings. Zero right housings. I put out a call for help on SpecE30’s fb page and within 30min I had 4 offers of right housings to go in the mail Monday. A couple hours later Rich Bratton calls me up and asks…
“Dude, where are you”?
“I’m at Home Depot”?
“I’m at your house with a right housing for you, I’ll just put it in front of your garage”, Rich said.
“You are awesome, I owe you man”.

Family had to go see the latest Hunger Games movie last night. When we got back home I grabbed Rich’s strut housing. That’s when I found that I couldn’t remove my strut from the housing. The PO put these in, not me and he prob failed to put some oil in the housing so now the strut is seized inside of it. This morning I’m going to see if I can cut the strut housing off of the strut.

If I screw up the strut I have a spare but it’s threads are damaged. 2yrs ago when I removed the strut from Old #6 I’d had to weld an allen wrench on to it’s top so I could get a purchase on it’s freely rotating shaft. The welding buggered up the threads.

When I get to RA, I’ll weigh the car. Am crossing my fingers that my corner weights remain reasonable.

Up to 19 so we’ve met the threshold for deep tire bucks.
