Road Atlanta - Mar 8-10

What’s all this talk of skipping the event? Just signed up and looking forward to 3 days at RA! (Not looking forward to long haul from S FL…)

Suggestions on hotel nearby? Spec E30 paddock location?

Look forward to being back up with the SE Region again!

Nah, here’s the roster so far. Folks will be there. As for hotels, there’s a couple options in Oakwood (GA53 @ I-985), also a Holiday Inn Express near Chateau Elan on x126 of I-85. A few miles south is Mall of GA area (GA-20) Not sure about hotels but every retail and food option you could imagine down there.

Comfort Inn in Oakwood was always my go-to location, but most of the time I drive home at night since not terribly far.

I registered yesterday… looking forward to (finally) getting back on track!

#4

Welcome back, Kelly, it’s been way too long!

#5

Hey Kelly - How’s the foot and leg doing? Glad to see you back racing!

#6

Thanks for the info Chuck!

#7

Coming along nicely. The bone is growing in nicely

#8

Use the Pass Racing discount code online, 00223640 for a nice savings at Choice Hotels…like the one in Oakwood.

#9

I like the Priceline name your own price and the two Marriot Courtyards a couple exits towards Atlanta.

#10

I’ll be registering shortly, and I know RA better than I do South Carolina, so I won’t be everyone’s sucker this time. That, and I like drinking beer a lot more in Atlanta. Coming strong!

#11

I updated the paddock so that the SpecE30’s can party all night long and not bother anyone - and they can party together with the SpecMiatas and ThunderRoadsters at the Lightning Lovefest!

#12

Will be cool to be paddocked up with the Miatas and Thunder Roadsters. There’s power down at that end tho, correct?

#13

Call me lazy but I’d rather be by the bridge. Power for everyone over there and the bridge is nice for those drivers meetings. I can always walk down the pits for the love fest/beer drinking.

#14

It was a cool idea to put us all together. Maybe the next step is to put us all together in the primo location…the bridge.

The downside of the bridge location is that it’s a pita to have to chase others away. That sort of works on 2 day weekends but doesn’t work at all on Fri enduro weekends.

#15

Is there power in that area of the paddock? Or should we plan to run the generator as needed?

#16

Meh…BFE down there

#17

There is power down there, many of the trackside vendors park in that area to provide service. Plus many of the ThunderRoadsters have motorhomes that need power so they can hook you up!

Ranger is correct - that end is much better to keep the group together and you won’t have anyone constantly driving thru your paddock spaces. B)

#18

Power, no power. I’m just happy to be going! See you all there.

Can we get some bets and some $hit-talking going?

#19

Yeah, just looking forward to going. Been wanting to get to Road Atlanta for a while.

#20

I plan on parking in the spec e30 area even though i’m in de3. The walk to the bridge sucks, but one of these years (next year)i will be racing with everyone. Any help will be appreciated. I’ll have cold beer, but no blondes this time Ranger. Unless i bring some back from Cheetah Friday night. Looking forward to no snow after VIR a few weeks back.

cheers,
Craig
