Ride Height

#1

So I noticed at RRR this weekend that even though I installed the Spec suspension this month that it appeared my ride height in the front and back was still higher than all the other SpecE30s. This seemed especially true in the front. Could the UUC camber plates have anything to do with it in the front? I felt up in there and it seemed like the spring was set properly on the upper and lower perch. I used the OEM spring pads on the upper and lower perches for all 4 corners. Should I have removed them in the front?

Search the forum for “spring pads.” I saw something on here recently about this.

As I recall, it said there are several thicknesses of spring pads available and you can use them, or no pads at all, to help adjust corner weight on the car.

Chris, the spring pads are okay for street use. So, that’s why it was/is so high…

You’ll remove them when it is time to race to lower the car and reduce weight transfer.

Don’t forget early model cars have bigger rear fender arch openings then late ones so the ride height looks different.
