Is there any secret to removing the rear differential bushing? I am replacing mine over the weekend and want to know the best way to attempt it.
I will have the diff out of the car when I do this.
Thanks

Take a hacksaw and remove the blade. Place the blade through the hole in the bushing and put back in the saw. Saw through the bushing all the way to the metal rim (and through the rim) until you can bend and remove. It’s not too tough, but takes some patience. You may have to saw in a couple of places to get the bushing to release.
Be careful once you get to the rim not damage the diff casing.
I did the hack saw bit and it worked fine. I didn’t go all the way through the rim because I was worried about marking up the inside of the mount. After I was most of the way through, I took a chisel and pushed the rim towards the center. It started to collapse and I just continued to hit straight down on it with the chisel and it came out (eventually).
