Remove Cruise Control

#1

Anyone know how to elegantly remove the cruise control actuator? I have removed the cable but the electrical harness looks like it’s not intended to be "unplugged" and then proceeds into the firewall, entering the great wiring abyss. Anyone done this before?

I am hoping to sell all of it once removed therefore I don’t want to hack it all up if I don’t have to. Cruise control worked before but I don’t seem to use it much on track anymore.

It has been a few months, but from what I remember the wiring wasn’t too bad to remove. I believe there is a round connector under the steering column that you disconnect and then pull/push the wire through the firewall into the engine bay.

Correct. Disconnect the cable under the dash and push it through the firewall grommet.

The entire wiring harness may be removed without cutting, removing the dash makes it painless.

By the way, I dig your Mondrian-esque paint scheme. I personally was thinking about a Jackson Pollack approach over the winter. Would be a whole lot easier to execute.
