Rear trailing arm adjusters

#1

Getting ready to prep a spare subframe and arms.

Anyone have experience with both the new posi-lock style adjusters and the cam bolt style?

Currently have the cam bolt style on the car and don’t have any trouble with them loosening although I hear some people have.

Those that have tried both, what would you use next time?

Do some searching, there’s lots of discussions re. the various rtab solutions. I’ve not used the posi-lock kind, but I used every other solution. If I had it all to do over again, I’d be slower to walk away from the OEM rtab ear.

If your toe is goofed one needs to modify an rtab ear to so you can adjust toe. If your camber is completely whacked, then one needs modify an rtab ear so you can adjust toe. Or you can use adjustable rtabs and try to get them to stay put. Or you could have a frame shop bend a trailing arm a bit to get it right.

The Cliffnotes re. the threads you will find is that there is no perfect solution. Each solution has had some owners that struggled to overcome problems. The threads will also show you how they won in the end.
