Rear kicker bar placement

#1

I saw in another post where the rear cage kicker bars pierced the rear bulkhead under the package tray and attached by the rear shock mount in the trunk. I’ve seen others that simply mount on the wheel wells in the interior.
Any arguments one way or the other? It would seem that piercing the rear panel and attaching closer to the suspension would make sense, unless there is some flexing dynamic to these chassis that has a mounting “sweet spot” elsewhere.
Thanks

I ran ours to the floor, right next to the wheel wells.

The metal is solid and it is close to the suspension mounting points.

My Kirk Racing cage is designed such that the rear braces mount to the trunk floor just above the rear springs. That seems to me to be a very logical position for the bars.
