No…you cant add an valve…but…
Ive talked Porterfield into molding a rarely used compound that they have, to solve this problem…a number of you have been asking me if there’s anything we can do.
And we can, the Porterfield R4-1 compound is specifically made to be a high friction -cold- compound.
It should run about .1mu higher friction than the Hawk Blues, but require no heat to do so…and with some heat, do even better.
Too much heat comes in about 600d, and I seriously doubt any SE30 is seeing that amount of energy in the rear without a bias valve to crank up pad pressure.
These are $130 MSRP, and are available here. They also come with the benefit of not eating up rotors at all as well…just freshen up the nasty face of a Hawk Blue bedded rotor, and you should be golden.
I have used these on my street car before, a pig heavy 1987 Supra turbo, and the added braking was about like using the Ebrake as hard as you could and engaging the internal Ebrake shoes…it added that much more braking. Never had issues with lockup.

Any of the Brake Bucks you may have won last weekend, are valid for this purchase as well.
Lead time is 10 days from the first order, and they’ll make up at least 10 sets initially. If more demand shows up…they’ll make more. These will be molded special for the SE30 crowd.
