Radiator Differences in Automatic and Manual Cars

#1

As I was getting ready to tear out the radiator from my 91 Auto parts car, I noticed that there are two hoses that I believe serve the automatic transmission to cool the fluid. Assume this is a separate cooling section and should I be OK to use this radiator in my manual car and just leave these connections open?

Also, If I wanted to keep the parts car limping along, I might swap the dented old radiator into the parts car but would then need to plug off the automatic transmission lines are at least tie them together. I wonder where I would fine the appropriate couplings?

As long as the intercooler isn’t leaking, you can leave the connections open and use that radiator in a manual transmission car. Or, if it makes you feel better, plug the transmission connectors.
