Fred, you can’t make that statement and not provide the explanation for those not in the know!
Oh yes I can…
No you can’t. Its against the SpecE30 code. B)

There’s a code?

Suffice it to say that at the post-race dinner at the local Mexican place there were margaritas (and a sombrero) involved…

Yes there’s a rule about this sort of thing, though it seldom has to be invoked in this community. They covered that in race school, perhaps you weren’t paying full attention at the time.

Now that you’ve let part of it out you might as well fess up and tell the whole story before someone else does, with embellishments.

Nah, you got it wrong. The SpecE30 code is something about not swooping on a brother’s girlfriend at the track. But no one really takes that seriously. Heck, I remember the day BillZ brought ex girlfriend, current girlfriend, and future girlfriend. He stood there with a silly grin and introduced all 3 of them to us. Swooping on that would have been an act of mercy.

#25

Scott, not being good with a keyboard, can you move this invitation to MA And Florida boards and invite those guys and gals?

Thanks

RP

#26

Counting the yes’s and maybe’s, I show 6 SpecE30 drivers, and another 5 mixed Lightning/Thunder cars, including the interest over in the NASA forum.

Not a bad start, let’s see if we can round up some more.

#27

Money is sent-in.

Others?

Thanks, Robert Patton

#28

They’ve got my check (insert your own joke here…)

Come on guys, will be more fun if there’s more cars there. Can’t beat the amount of track time and food for the $$$.

Sending my check in tomorrow.

Al K is planning on doing the race, his intent is to get a control arm replaced on Friday and if all is well he’ll show up at the track with his checkbook.

Are enough folks showing up Friday evening that we can put together a chow plan? Me and Al are in.

#35

Tell Al to bring the car w/wo the new control arm installed. I’ll change it at the track if need be (and align the front wheels).

That is my understanding. Registration will be in the shack outside the track. Often, once the waivers and wristbands are taken care of, the track can be crossed by participants for the next day (us) but that isn’t guaranteed. AFAIK the track is rented to someone else on Friday, hence the 5pm.

#38

I’ll be at the track at 5:30. Chow, beer, and lie telling, standard SpecE30 bonding activities, will begin shortly thereafter. Since chow at the track seems to be a bust, how about going to that Italian place that is on Hwy80 near I-95?

No problem, I was just trying to calculate my departure time. See you folks around 5pm tomorrow! :woohoo:

I should be there between 5&6pm, traffic permitting.
