Quick release hub

I was wondering who’s installed one (or had it installed)?
Which one did you use?
Did you encounter any issues?

I’m a visual person… so photos are always helpful

I have one from Smart racing products. Not cheap but is a quality piece. The Sparco quick release is super nice but very expensive

I picked one up from another board made by TC Design and decided not to install it because it moved the wheel 2.5 inches closer. It was a very nice milled aluminum piece with zero slop or play.

We have the ltb motorsports quick release in both cars. One has a little slop, the other is tight. They offered to replace the sloppy one, but you really don’t notice it when driving. Price is right and it is a nice piece for Momo/Sparco steering wheels.

I bought the TC Design alum one when Tony (TC) did my cage. Compared with others it’s an expensive piece, but as a tall person I liked moving the wheel closer to me and this is a quality release. Only goes on one way and no slop. Sorry no photo, check out tcdesignfab.com for a pic.

I’m not sure of the brand, but highly recommend calling Harrison Motorsports (678- 879-1200) here in Atlanta. It’s by far the best quick release I’ve seen… ~ $250 and worth every penny. Machined aluminum for Momo/Sparco wheels… It bolts onto the hub, has a couple alignment pins to make sure it’s straight and two main locking pins. Great product with zero play. Here is a picture of it removed:

And with the wheel on:

Kelly’s quick release is the slickest I’ve ever seen. You can get the parts from Harrison or Flying Brick Performance.

I have the same QR as kchildre. It’s called Snap-Off. Check out tekniqauto.com for more info. There is also a street version with a lock.

I have the Snap-Off Race also. Very nice and positive. Worst thing is that it requires both hands to install/remove. That could be a problem in a pinch, but I’m keeping it.
