Problem DE student that doesn't listen

#1

Scott: "If you want to learn how to drive, you need to listen"
DE Student: "I’m sorry Mr. Gress. I got scared.

I spent the Fri-Sun with the Tarheels. Tom & Jeff Hall (and Rigby) parked next door and were great fun. The Tarheels put on a great event.

Did the Tarheels Instructor cert course. Each instructor candidate did an evaluation session with a mentor playing the role of a student. I tried to teach my “student” how to get around the damn track safely, but he was a hardhead. Name of “Skeen”.

Watch out for him.

Yea, the same guy talked me into letting him drive my nice E46 330i on the track and it will NEVER be the same! Somebody needs to do something about that guys, he’s freaking nuts!

A stock, daily driver of a 330i and he’s riding right up the tail pipes of acouple of really nice looking yellow C6 vettes! One of the damn Vettes even had a couple of skulls on it.

Man, this guy needs all the help you can give him Ranger!

Have you considered that your “student’s” disinclination to follow your instructions might have had something to do with the quality of said instruction?

Sorry, couldn’t resist the temptation…

Speaking of bad students . . .

And the moderator locked the thread because of people (rightly) giving him grief!

Jim, you understand what’s going on here right? For a fee Mike will spend a day coaching. I spent such a day with him a couple months ago. The improvement per dollar is hellacious. This thread was a play on the irony of attempting to reverse roles, act as his instructor, and realistically treat him like a newby.

Your wit and humor are likely too deep and pure for any of us here on this forum! Words like “irony” and “Realistically” and “reverse roles” are hard for us to understand. Now we get and understand things like “fart” “Crap” “inyourface” and the likes.

You need to make it clear to everyone, Ranger, that you drove a Porcha before dropping to the lowly level of Spec E30.

Ya that’s me, a regular urban metrosexual. Just sitting here with a brisk Chianti and a book of verse.

I understood, hence the apology at the end. Been there, done that, with an experienced instructor acting as a “newbie student from hell”. I was sort of poking fun at the concept of you trying to “instruct” the Mike the Machine.
