pretty quiet out there

How’s things going guys? Everyone planning on racing on the 6th, or is anyone going down to BW for the enduro?

Do we have a race report for May yet? If I wrote it, would be pretty boring for Sunday - didn’t pass anyone, didn’t get passed. ho hum (edit: except for the fun battle trying to hold Scott of off my bumper for 20 minutes!). Saturday got a big lesson in taking a high speed turn side by side with a honda, and spent a lot of time vacuuming the lesson out of my car.:stuck_out_tongue:

We’ll be back at T-hill for the 7th and 8th. No plans on going to the BW enduro as of yet.

I missed what happened to you on Saturday…Do you have video?

I’m starting on a write up for the race report…should have it done this weekend.

I’m planning on racing next month! Should be fun…hopefully not as HOT as it is now in the Valley :S

Video mount broke, now fixed.

Into 8 I went out on to the curbing on the left while a faster honda came down and took inside line. I was trying to cooperate with an out of class competitor, and figured he would clear the apex faster than he did and that lapse in judgment left me on the marbles on the outside of 8, causing my car to get loose and spin to the inside. It was over pretty fast, I don’t think I even lost a position but I did learn a lesson and from then on was able to take 8 a little bit faster than before.

Wish like hell I had a video of it because I thought it was a certain car, but Jerry Bradbury was behind me and said it was someone different than I thought. No harm no foul, I didn’t make a big deal out of it. Working with traffic is a big part of being successful in our series.

Wish I could be in 2 places at once for the enduro. Bummed to be missing it.

Oh wow. 8 is a pretty scary place to spin. I know that all too well.

You are very right that working with traffic is a key to being successful in our series(especially when there are 50+ cars on the track at the same time!)
There have been rumors that we might be running with the Spec Miata guys soon. That should help with the traffic factor since our cars run similar times and there would be a maximum of 35 cars on the track at the same time(for now). We’ll have to see what they decide to do for T-hill next month.

I’m looking forward to the 7th,8th. I’m heading up to Reno Fernley between now and then. I’ve still gotta get a HANS (June 2nd is the cutoff date).

Scott, I’ve got a race report typed up, was going to post it here in the forums but got sidetracked with work. I’ll post it later today.

Sure would be a more efficient use of the track (for us!) and a helluva lot more fun cuz I’m developing a case of hondaphobia, compounded by Ferrariitis. I’m hopeful that our clean racing over the last few events would ease any concern on the part of the miata guys. Some seemed concerned with our number of rookies and the chance of issues. Thinking about it, except for one early issue and my no-fault at Sears with the USTCC car our series has been pretty clean this year. I wouldn’t be opposed to having the 944s in that group too so that we have people to pass. :cheer:
