Plumbing fuel system

Just put my convertible gas tank in the coupe body to find out that the return nipple in the tank is place different and interferes with the placement of the filter. That’s no big deal. I’ll have to modify the bracket so that the filter sits higher in the car to give clearance for the return line.

Question: is the fuel regulator on the return side or the supply side of the system. I assumed it was the supply. But looking at pics on the inter web shows otherwise.

Never mind. It’s only logical that the regulator is on the return side.

Consider this if it’s easier. It’s not unusual for people to move their fuel filter into the engine bay.

Good idea. I wanted to keep the engine compartment clean of unnecessary stuff. But maybe it would be best to put it where the charcoal canister used to be. That would be better then swapping tanks again or modifying the bracket. Thanks
