I’m thinking about making a splitter/undertray, but mine will be different because I’ve an early model. Sign shops use a product called Alumacore that is a plastic honeycomb sandwiched by aluminum. Comes in several different thicknesses and trade-names.

Indoor sign shops will order you some, but it’s pricey. Outdoor shops might give you some out of their scrap bin for a 6pack. I chose the latter.

A big unknown tho, at least an unknown to me, is our aero balance. I don’t have a feel for our rear vs. front downforce. I assume that the OEM air dam provides some downforce. In contrast I have a home-made air dam that provides zero front downforce, therefore I should have high speed understeer. Yet I can’t say that I sense it in fast sweepers.

I’m buying an OEM air dam off of a buddy, and then I’ll make the splitter/undertray and see if I can sense the difference.

hmmm… I had 3 other people with a lot of experience say the exact same thing… that basically it looks cool but makes no difference. I am not a good enough driver (yet) to notice anyway… maybe I won’t bother with it yet…
