I talked to Phils Tires this weekend at VIR. Upon finding out that Appalachian Tires wasn’t interested in a similar contingency program, Phils generously volunteered to be our tire sponsor.
Some months ago I sent all the PTS decals that I had back to Phils. I’ll be getting those decals back shortly. The details of the contingency are in the Contingency Sticky. In a nutshell, 7th place is $50 of tire bucks, but you have to have done the race in PTS tires. Be sure to ask them to “brand” your tires when ordering from them. As a transition to this, be sure to keep your receipts for PTS tire purchases.
