OK - Just exactly who is out there???

Who is running and who is building?

I know Simon (elephant4), Osborne (ilateapex), and Tomzzy are licensed and running thus far. I saw another name on the Putnam entry list - Goodwin maybe?

I am in the build process and plan to get the license later this year or early next year.

I know there have got to be some others out there - are they looking in here at all?

Bueller? Bueller?

Well Victor is actually in our region as well, I think he is a bit further North east. In the profiles there are about 3 others building cars. I know of one around Indy, Carl Furham? has a white one that is pretty much complete that I saw at Putnam. He is pretty closed to finished, I think he has to go through the comp school process still. It will probably be 2 years till we get decent fields in our region. But we always have Nationals at Mid Ohio and I plan to travel to the other regions occasionally. I’ll probably do a presentation for our local chapter at some point, but I want to get some good video first.

With a little hard work, I’ll be joining the ranks shortly. I just picked up an '89 325is and plan on running a few hpde with it first. My name is Kevin and I live in the Milford area.

Welcome Kevin, we look forward to seeing you out there soon. Sorry for the ignorance but where exactly is Milford?

Its a suburb of Cincinnati.

I’m here in Columbus. I have a car. I have no license yet. I chose to do SE30 because of the great race schedule. BMW CR would require a lot of travel where SE30 is in my backyard.

I will be licensed shortly and have signed up for the Ohio/IN region. I didn’t see a regional map on the NASA website so I’m not sure which region MI is considered part of. Ohio/IN seems most likely. At the very least since this is where I’ll race the most it was the logical choice.

I’ll be running GTS2 mainly next year but I’m still back and forth on another SpecE30 car, we’ll see what develops. I’m absolutely in favor of the series of course and have been doing a lot of promoting in the region at any event I go to.

As Simon mentioned in another post, I think we dragged in a couple more at Grattan this weekend. ; ) The one guy had just recently bought an ITS RX-7 but had spent a lot of time working and not a lot of time driving. He asked us how reliable these E30’s were. We responded with "You see we’re sitting around a lot right?" ; )

Anyway, he and a buddy are looking to do some close racing together and I think they walked away knowing that SpecE30 is where it’s at. I’ve got contact info for the one guy so I’ll keep pushing him along.

So…still promoting here locally.
