Oil Pressure Sender + Sways Question

#1

As I prepare to do more work than possible in an entire week in just one weekend, I have two questions:

-When I install the oil pressure sender unit for an oil pressure gauge (I haven’t yet figured out where exactly this sender goes), will I need to drain the oil first, or does it mount high enough that I won’t create an oily mess when installing it?

-What rear setting do people who run the ST anti-sway bars like? I’ve driven 2 E30s with the IE sways and found the rear to be way too hard, making the car oversteer too dramatically for my tastes.

Thanks,
Sasha

When you remove the stock oil pressure switch to put in the pressure sender, a little oil runs out, so definitely keep a pan underneath there.

From my understanding is once the cage is in the car you’ll want to set the rear sway bar to full soft. My car (without a cage) was very neutral on the middle setting (inner hole on one side outer on the other), but now that the cage is in it; the rear is a bit too stiff and I need to soften the rear sway bar.

I installed my cage over the winter, and while I have my front IE bar installed, I’ve never gotten around to installing the rear; it still has the original 325e rear bar. I have been really torn to decide whether to just leave the stock rear bar or to install the IE rear bar… the car handles so well as-is (very mild, secure push at the limit), I’m concerned about upsetting the balance by adding the rear bar. Oh well, I’ll probably install it because I can never leave near-perfection alone.
