Getting ready to install my crank scraper from Factory 3 this weekend. What is the prefered method for installing this while the engine is on a stand? Gasket or no? Which sealant? Both sides of the scraper?

Test fit it with at least four bolts, turn the motor several times to find out where it scrapes. After you have it trimmed everywhere, bolt it on with silicone and no gasket. After it dries, the gasket goes between the pan and the scraper.
