I was just out doing some last min, holiday shopping and I noticed some snow in my oil cooler, whan I got home it still hadent melted. I have a 1990 325i, my question is, is the cooler thermostaticly controled, or is it just not working.

The oil cooler is thermostatically controlled and it takes pretty high oil temps to get thermostat to open.
