Steve, I am posting this for you per our discussion.
Bill, That is indeed a beautiful car and I wish I could justify adding it to the stable. I’m looking for a nice car for my soon to be 16 year old. I’m afraid that is a little too much car for him. You should have no trouble selling that beauty.

Steve, I have both my kids(16 and 18) in early E46 cars. Good bang for the buck AND alot of safety devices are standard and VERY nice for the parents peace of mind! You’ll see both my kids at a track event soon, learning to drive those e46 cars that much better!

A nice 323 maybe, or wagon. An M3 for a 16 yr old teenage boy… I think you’re just trying to sell him insurance…
Steve I used to hit around 150 on the back straight at RA and at RRR in mine. He’d probably have lots of girlfriends though.

Sorry Bill - just have them focus on this part.

What do you think was wrong with it, was it down on power?
No I was down on 'nads. Another 100 ft you might have gotten 155 you also might have gotten a repair bill.
both mine are girls, much smarter, right Laura? Besides, it’s amazing what having “2 bad plugs” will do to the speed of a car! But seriously, 16 yr old is in a 99 328i, 4 airbags, super stable on the road, electronic stability control, and solid, all for $12,000! Now my 18 yr old is in a 330ci but all the above apply and I have maybe $15,000 in it. These will be great races in area years when we have Spec E4 racing!
Oh, and btw, even a crappy Ford exploader or Kia crapper goes fast enough to kill a teenager! At least putting them in a well engineered, well build car will give them a chance and maybe the “pride of ownership” will keep them from totally ratting out a nice car. It’s worked so far for me!
