#1

#2

ME. I need to make up for nationals…

#3

Is this the Oct8 event at VIR?

If so, I’m trying but I don’t know if I’ll be able to get free from work on Friday.

#4

I plan on going.

#5

I will tentatively be racing Saturday in a DriveGear car, can’t wait!

#6

hells yes![/quote]

LOL I appreciate the support but don’t expect much. Haven’t been in a SE30 in ~2 yrs and not trying to drive FLAT OUT in a car that isn’t mine.

I will stay outta the way when you front runners come around to lap me though, don’t worry :stuck_out_tongue:

#9

now i’m REALLY bummed that i can’t make it

#10

i have a couple of shirts with slogans that should help you overcome these weaknesses

#11

Not going to make it.
Still buried at work.

#12

will be there providing parts support and drinking someone else’s beer, will be racing in GTS 1…The car is for sale, has run SCCA, NASA, SVRA BMW CCA etc…$6000. Cannot bed converrted to spec e30 due to cage.

This is a good event to attend - three races!

DO IT!

#14

Pretty fun weekend, perfect weather, great racing, Brewfest…what’s not to like?

Wicked traffic in all three races since GTS 1-2, Spec 3, and Spec E30 all took the same green flag.

Saturday - Race #1: http://youtu.be/0M8Kh6tnRrc

Saturday - Race #2: http://youtu.be/d6bA33QL-j0

Sunday’s fun race was pretty…fun. The inverted field made for a good time, I have some good video from that race still to come.

Huge thanks to the Spec E30 family for welcoming me in this past weekend, and to DriveGear specifically for a great car and much advice/support!

Mission accomplished - no incidents or issues, gained a few positions, made a few passes, learned a bunch, and am figuring out where to go faster when I rent from DriveGear again next year.

I would post my videos but they are awful compared to what’s linked above. Take Mr. Grace’s videos, remove all the things he and Rob and Carter are doing correctly, replace them with me doing things incorrectly at the other end of the field, and you’ll get the idea

Thanks again everyone,

Jon

Jon - I’m glad you had such a good time. DG are good people and the MA SE30 guys ain’t too shabby either. We’d love to share the track with you again!

#17

I second that. You should probably get your name on the DG list for February!

Here is the video from Sunday’s “fun run”…quite fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTKrk_uGutg

Here’s my video of the Sunday fun race. After Grace and Gagliardo passed me I managed to hold on for a bit and got some pretty good video.
