Norcal Spece30 2009 News

#1

For Immediate release:

Northern California SpecE30 has shown tremendous growth throughout 2008. The field is becoming one of the bigger groups. I am very pleased with all the support and acknowledgement to me as Series Director in 2008 and it will undoubtedly go down as one of my favorite and most rewarding challenges to date. That being said I have taken notice to the extra curricular activities of the individuals at the track, on the forums and on the off days. The role as Series Director is a job that continues throughout the month , day after day preparing, gathering and mentoring all for one selfless cause: SpecE30. That is why I feel as the current Series Director that I must take notice to the efforts being applied by fellow racer Scott Neville and at this time with great admiration and honor pass the torch as Series Director for 2009. Scott is a very active SpecE30 racer, forum poster and mentor to all. Scott will need all your help in making this role benefit the series and I will continue to offer my support and knowledge that I have gained throughout 2008 as Series Director. The next two races will be the transition period for Scott and I have no doubt it will be smooth. Thanks again for all your continuing support and acknowledgements for the job I have completed.

Northern California SpecE30 Series Director (2007-2008)

Steve,

Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement. You brought a lot of energy to SpecE30 and I fully intend on matching that effort. I love racing with NASA and I look forward to giving something back to the organization in an official capacity. SpecE30 in Northern California is set to take off and become one of NASA Norcal’s most popular race groups. I fully endorse the concept and vision of Carter Hunt and Mike Mills with respect to SpecE30. I want to keep SpecE30 fair, honest, affordable, fun and friendly. We have a great group of racers now and a high level of camaraderie which, along with our sponsors Valley Motorwerks and AIM Tire, makes the perfect foundation to build upon.

Best Regards,
Scott Neville

Steve, thanks for everything you have done for the series and I’m sure will continue to do in whatever official NASA capacity you are going to do. You’ve done a helluva lot for the series - sponsors, brochures, paddock walks, and the like. Real leadership.

Scott, nobody else better qualified. You are going to continue to be a great ambassador for the series here and your style will help encourage even more drivers to come aboard and keep everyone moving forward.

Great stuff fellers.

Congratulations Scott! I know you will do a great job, because of the way you deal with people and have always supported myself as well as all of the other current and new drivers.

Steve, I want to thank you for your wit and enthusiasm it has helped make the series grow as much as it has this past year.

Scott
