NOLA Motorsports Park, September 20-21, 2014

#1

I heard a rumor of some Southeast racers looking at making the trek out to New Orleans in September for this mid-south event. I’m planning on heading that way from San Antonio and wanted to see if the rumors were true.

There’s a number of us that have tentatively committed to NOLA in Sep. Assuming my car survives Nats intact, I’m in for NOLA.

#3

This is great news! Now if we can just get some of you guys to Memphis…

#4

I’m in for NOLA, if everything goes well at Nationals

#5

Sandro set loose in NOLA… WOW! Might be worse than Katrina.

#6

Any cars for rent? That’s my “other” home track!

#7

Keep this on your radar boys and girls. I think we’ve a half dozen SE guys that have committed.

#8

Does anyone know if Mid-South publishes an entry list, like SE does? Would like to see the others cars registered; would make it easier to pull the trigger.

#9

We will get the list posted ASAP… This is actually a NOLA region event co-hosted by the Mid South and Texas regions so registration is through the NOLA page.

The Saturday awards dinner is in an air conditioned party room and the food was some of the best I have had at any NASA event.

They also have a kart track on site. Many of us went karting after the awards dinner and then headed out to Bourbon for far too much alcohol.

See you there.

Shawn

I can’t sign up until after I’m sure my car survives Nationals.

Re. Karting after the awards dinner then Bourbon st. Man-oh-man this is going to be fun.

#11

Looks like I will be there, but someone else will be racing my car.

#12

What’s up with that?

#13

What’s up with that?[/quote]

He needs a car to race, and I have raced NOLA multiple times already. I have other projects that have been getting my attention/funds recently.

#14

I’ll sign up after Nationals. I really like Ranger’s plan.

#15

I am not going with u to burbon st. I would like to spend the weekend racing and not getting bailed out of jail.

#16

It’s pretty easy to stay out of jail–just keep your pants on and your fists out of people’s faces.

But…Bourbon is kind of overrated, and on a Saturday night it’s gonna be gross.

#17

Bourbon St. may long remember the night that the SpecE30’s brought Sandro Espinosa to town.

Note that we’ll have Fri night too.

#18

I’d be in after nationals too. Scary how it’s all contingent of how nationals goes lol. I love Nola and it’d be fun as hell runnin with y’all

Pretty typical look for this early. The Texas guys usually register on their way to the track and the locals give the flagman their paperwork on the first lap.

Also, there is a Friday Test & Tune day put on by the track. A little pricey IMO but worth it if you’ve never been there.
