Guys,
Infineon was alot of fun and I finally got to drive one of these cars in competition. I have to take my hat off to all of you. Though these cars have few bad habits, it is difficult to get it right and turn in a fast time. Unfortunately due to the abbreviated test and qualifying I did not get a chance to work on tire pressures and more importantly my driving! The car that Tommy and I drove was sold and the owner is taking delivery in a couple of days which leads me to some cool announcements.

Gil Caravantes, one of my BMWCCA competitors has jumped into the fray and bought our #37 car and hopes to make it out to Thunderhill. As I write this he confirmed that he received his competition license from Dave Ho and is ready to rock.

We are building another car to replace #37 and it will be a longshot but it may be ready for the next race. Hopefully Scott Clough will be ready to race too. This would bring our car count to 12, a number I thought we were going to hit at Infineon.
I also have it on good authority that Mark Kirberg is coming out to play next year. There is another car being prepped but I am not allowed to say who it is, suffice to say that his presence in the series along with Mark and Gil will have a significant impact on the visilibty of SpecE30 out here in California. I will make an announcement as soon as I am allowed to.

Doug Johnson’s car see, http://www.team101motorsports.com is ready for testing so hopefully we’ll see him out with us soon.

Camber Plates part deux
We are also working on new camber plates that should be in testing within a few weeks. The price will be very competitive and will be significantly stronger than what is currently available. A set will be sent to Carter Hunt for approval, keep your eyes and ears open I think these are going to be great.

MOMO Daytona seats we were able to get a few MOMO Daytona seats in Grey with Black trim that we are selling for $725 tax and shipping included. Check them out at MOMOUSA.com… SpecE30 competitors also receive better pricing on any MOMO gear whether racing related or not. Email me with anything you may want… driving suits, NOMEX underwear, gloves, shoes etc.

Hey Walter…good news! You might advise Mark Kirberg to place his order for a spec exhaust ASAP so that he’ll have it in time for next year!

now now Scott…

FWIW the system that we received is really nice and will be on Elliott’s car for the next race. I am waiting for the second unit to arrive. Hopefully we’ll get a pass on the rules since there will only be a few of us with the spec exhaust. From what I hear Mark can do without the extra HP gained from the exhaust… I need to hobble him somehow!!!
