Need front windows, drv. & pass. for coupe

#1

Anybody have the front windows for a coupe I could buy from you? I need to have windows I can install while towing the #5 car. I don’t think the rain is ever going to stop, and I was spoiled by Speed Trapp trailering my car in an enclosed trailer and storing it in their shop. I would like to have windows for towing and storing the car. If you have some and could bring them to THill this weekend I would greatly appreciate it. I am happy to purchase them.

Jeff will be there at THill with the car and you could deliver them to him. They are probably worth a free pass on track as well as cash! B)

Thanks in advance,
$hoe

I would get one of those big rolls of plastic cling film from U-Haul. A few wraps around the door and you will be equally waterproof. And it doesn’t shatter when you drop it.

A common solution is to cut pieces of plexiglass using the OEM windows as a template. Then rig up something to hold them in place. An evening of Home Depot imagineering and you’ll have a light and non-fragile solution that you can R/R in 2 minutes.

I used Ranger’s method with my first Miata. Unfortunately, Plexiglass can break if it gets blown off your open trailer and cartwheels through the paddock. Hypothetically speaking of course.

Lexan is nice, but expensive. The plastic wrap is easy, quick and doesn’t gum up all the bits on your jigsaw.

Kevin,

I have both driver’s and passenger side glass that you can have. I’ll only charge you a margarita (or two) at Casa Ramos next time you’re at T-Hill!

I’ll bring them up this weekend.

Cheers,
Scott (Scoot)

Thanks for the ideas guys. I have used the plastic wrap one and it does work I agree.

Scoot, thanks! I will let Jeff know.

I will be making a padded bag for them to reside in when not in use.
