Need a tach

Anyone have a good working tach they can sell me. Mine works funky if at all. Today it said I was idling at 300 rpm and hitting the limiter at 5k. I pretty sure neither were correct, at least not the 300rpm idle.

The tach might be okay but the SI board could be bad. If you put a known good, or new, SI board in and the problem persists, then the cause will be either the tach or the DME. Given the frequency of SI board problems, address that first. If that doesn’t work, send me a PM and I’ll send you a tach.

i already removed the batteries. do i really need the si board at all.

Without major surgery, yes the SI board in operating condition is required for the tach to function.
