I “lucked” into a business trip that will take me to Columbus Ohio the week of Nationals and thought I would stay on there a couple extra days and support our Norcal drivers, but I noticed there are no CA Spec E30s signed up. Is anybody going? If not, there is a track weekend up at Reno Fernley and I’ve been dying to check that track out.
Nationals
Kevin wanted to go but the cost is pretty high. If we had another NorCal person to split the cost with I would send my truck and trailer etc.

Sacramento, CA to Lexington, Ohio Round Trip = 4758 miles
Kodiak Diesel Tow Rig = ~11 mpg
Fuel needed round trip = ~432 gallons diesel
Round Trip Fuel cost (this week’s price) @ $5/gallon = ~ $2,160
Tom @ 7s Only was offering a transport and trackside support package for about $3K, but the price was going up as we got closer. I also know of a truck driver that has a 4-car that will do a package if you can load your stuff in your car and fly out there it could be semi affordable.
How about a Western Regional Championship next year? Buttonwillow?

Yeah I figured I would charge around $2500 to haul a car, tools, spares and 2 people back East. They would also have a trailer to work out of / store stuff and full support.
Pretty good offer Walter, for Kevin’s sake I hope someone takes you up on it.
Thanks for the lead on the rentals, I might have to look into that.
