Arjun Soundararajan, owner of UUC Motorwerks, has generously created a contingency and support program for SE SpecE30.
Details.
$25 UUC gift certificate for 6th, 9th, and the last SpecE30 to take the checker. Both Sat and Sun races so 6 certificates per weekend. They’ll have a long expiration period so earn several and then go buy that terrific Dual Shear Shift Rod.
UUC will help support the Sat lunches that Fred and I have been doing.
UUC will be providing another trophy, the details and rules of which we’re still working on. Something like an annual trophy for bad luck or tenacity. If you have a great idea for this, speak up. We already have a Gino’s Garage trophy which is based on performance so the objective is to do something different.
Details.
-To keep Admin hassles to a minimum, Fred and I will run the program.
-You need a UUC decal on the left and right sides of your car. Fred and I will bring them to the track. Custom decals are fine as long as you closely copy the standard UUC decal artwork, the decal is no smaller, and it’s color contrasts with your car so it can be seen.
-The reason 6th and 9th were chosen is that those 2 drivers just barely missed out on Toyobucks.
-If the field is small so the 9th place driver is also the last one to take the checker, he gets 1 cert, not 2.
-Gift certificates will be awarded at the Saturday awards banquet, and Sunday afternoon. Or any other time it’s convenient for the winner. If, for example, you’d like Fred to travel to your Bar Mitsvah and award you your certificate in front of your friends and family, he says he’d be happy to. If he can bring his Klesmer band.
UUC sells a variety of maintenance and SpecE30 compliant go-fast items. This includes PFC and Hawk brake pads, H&R Springs, a variety of suspension reinforcement bits, their own sway bar design, wheelspacers and studs, Schroth harnesses, of course their highly respected shifters and the DSSR.
