Motor mounts

#1

According to this 9.3.1.8.1. Alternate, non-metal, motor mounts, providing the same height as original, are
permitted.

we are allowed to use stiffer Urethane mounts as opposed to the stock rubber ones, am I correct?
If so then anyone have suggestions or experience on which ones are good? I was looking at the Ireland Engineering ones but am open to suggestions.

Thanks!

I’m using Vorshlag…
My e30 is still dual purpose so I have poly for the track and urethane for street, easy change out.

Wow pricey, but they seem nice, worth the price in your opinion?

I bought the poly setup partially used from RRT for 100, then got the urethanes inserts from Vorshlag for 59. Was a sweet deal! They are very nice.
I would have used the 75d AKG’s otherwise.

I’ve had the ie motor and trans mounts on my turbo car since 03/04? and I also have them on my spece30 project. I’ve had no problems and don’t see any reason to pay any more prettier ones.

75d akg ftw.

I’ve got the UUC reds with enforcer cup tranny mts, Vorshlag polys for engine and AKG 75d’s for the dif and sub.

This an ok setup?
