Mid Ohio Race Report

Had 2 races today, new hot shoe Anthony Magnoli (I probably spelt that wrong) gave me all I could handle.

Race 1
1st Anthony Magnoli
2nd Tom White
3rd Simon Hunter (moved to the back for contact with a porsche)

Race 2
1st Simon Hunter
2nd Anthony Magnoli
3rd Tom White

I have some awesome video, I’ll get it up when I get back.

Other notables, I rode with Kevin Sweeney in HPDE and we managed to go off :slight_smile: but I was impressed upto that point :P, he should be ready to race soon.

Sean Delair was there with his M-Coupe and will be joining us later this year when his car is finished. I ride with him tomorrow so hopefully we keep it on track :ohmy:

Gareth Williams was there he took the comp school on Friday and is planning to join the fray at Bluegrass in June.

Tom and I are hanging out in the grassy area and it is pretty quiet without the Osbornes there. Wish you guys were here, same goes to the FastTech guys and the Woodwards.

Sorry I don’t have any pics, Shannon was not able to make it when she fell down the stairs as we were leaving for the track. She is fine just a little sore.

Thanks for the update. Sorry about Shannon, how she feels better soon. Glad Tom got to make it and it looks like some close racing.

Should be up there around 11:30 to say hi and catch the afternoon race. I’ll bring my camera.

Anthony got the jump on Simon at the start and put a few cars in between them. Simon made it back up to within a 100 yards but could not close further.
The lighting was rather harsh and prone to glare but here’s a few photos:

Thanks for the pics Jeremy. I had my usual miserable start today but hats off to Anthony because once the traffic sorted itself out I could not close the gap to him. Great racing this weekend. Race 1 will be up in about 15 mins.

Man, I wished we could’ve been there. That was great footage!

We’ll be working on our car tomorrow again tomorrow night. It’s getting close. We’ll be at Putnam for sure. Sean and I will split the car (Sat/Sun).

Looks like NASA is back to running the chicane. I love the chicane! Anthony was looking very quick! Also glad to see Tom out there! And it sounds like we’ll have a few more competitors this season. This is great news!

Simon thank you for the updates. Looks like more competition to have to deal with. I’ve CCA raced with Anthony at Roebling and he was fast there too…too much for this old guy to have to process.
