Maybe a little early for a roll call but I’m itching to get back on track and I was wondering who else is with me? I’ll be running HPDE 3 for now as the build progresses slowly on the e30. Maybe I’ll just keep driving north to McMann and have the cage put in
Mid-Ohio July 12-13th
My build partner/co-driver will also be there running HPDE 1. So the car will be getting a work out that weekend running double duty! Spec exhaust showed up yesterday and the oil pan shield will be here tomorrow. Fresh brake fluid and we should be good to go (whining diff and all)!
The FASTtech E30 will be there with Kyle & Sean splitting the SE30 & PTE races. I’ll be there as well but in a different class (HC4).

Yep, just registered. Sean and I may split the test day. Anyone else going up for practice on Friday?
I may come up to watch practice on Friday depending on work/wife schedule. Where are you guys staying?
I will most likly be there on Friday for the practice. I will be camping at the track.
Michael
What do you want to know? I just sleep in the enclosed trailer but a tent works just fine. They have showers at the track. I think Mid-Ohio may charge for RV’s but No on has ever said anything to me for sleeping in the trailer. If you are Al Taylor you just sleep in your drivers suit, and put a tarp from the car to a stack of tires and sleep on the ground.
Michael
I just wasn’t aware they have a camping location and is there a fee or designated area? I may have a pop-up camper I can borrow, is that allowed? Thanks,
Kevin
So does Al Taylor = The Stig?
Is there a procedure to signing up for this or do you just show up day of and set up a tent/camper somewhere?
I am not sure how it works with a actual camper. Most just find a place to park set up. If you set up in the grass there is a less likly chance that anyone would give you grief or even come and ask questions. Lots of tents and RVs around. I would just come and not ask questions. Set up your camp and if they come and ask questions just play dumb and give them what they want. “sometimes it is easier to ask for forgivness than to ask for permision”
Michael
Well I am signed up and planing on heading up on Thursday evening. Last I looked there are 4 of us racing and it seems maybe 3 or 4 soon to be racers. Do we want to paddock together? I made it on the asphalt last time but may just opt for the grass this time and get a little closer to the showers. I will be camping with my wife and my Dad and his friend will be at a local hotel.
So do you guys want me to rope off some area?
Michael
Absolutely! We plan on getting there Friday evening so we’ll join up with you then.
Kevin
We may try to go up Thursday night as well. Not sure yet. We’ll be saving some space for the Honda R&D team as Jeremy will be running the Integra in HC4 (I think). I’m running SE30 with our car and Sean is going to run our car in PTE (unless they combine classes). We’ll look for your car when we get there and try to paddock next to ya. Looking forward to this event and meeting you guys!
Save me some space in the grass, Shannon isn’t coming so I’ll be camping as well. Carlos, Jack and Shea are coming too and all camping. Shea is in GTS3. I’ll be there Friday night around 8pm. See you guys soon!

I think the THR team will want to be on pavement as they are bringing the two car trailer. But we may paddock in the grass to keep cool. If we do we’ill try to cone off some extra space in the shade. Looks like we’re going up early Friday morning.
Did anyone see this incident or have video?
[quote]Hi Simon, did you see or know of anyone who saw my contact at the Carousel(13) with the White 944 Cup car #91 with Red and Blue lower striping driven by Ernie Jakubowski? This was late in the race. I’m trying to find out who was behind us at the time. Any help would be appreciated.
